Founder and Creator of Yummylicious products, Kristina Soley, has been in the skincare industry for over 30 years. She started as an Esthetician, while studying for her Bachelor, and went on to study Lymphobiology and become an Aromatherapist. Kristina has been living in Paris, France for over two decades and recently created a new all-organic line of skincare products to cater to sensitive skin, and therefore ANY skin. She created a serum to act as a multivitamin poured onto the skin.
Tell us about you. You grew up in California, did you always want to be in the beauty and self-care industry?
I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I always wanted to be in a serene, calm and happy atmosphere, which is what led me to skincare. Being able to nurture people was always a must.
How did the Yummylicious brand come about?
My clients kept saying how their skin felt so yummy after their facial with me. I guess that word just stuck as I heard it again and again. As time went on, I put more vitamins and nutrients into the serums. And as it became more and more powerful and soothing, it just led me from Yummy to Yummylicious.
Do you have a favorite Yummylicious skin care product?
My favorite product is Stinky Serum. Stinky caters to all skin types. It has an approximate 45 SPF. It’s very soothing and healing. It’s a great serum.
What business moment are you most proud of:
Clients crying they were so happy their skin finally felt good. They were able to use a Yummylicious serum as a base and then wear make-up. Some with super sensitive skin could not wear make-up before this serum. Everything else would burn their skin or give them a bad reaction. Yummylicious offers great skin care for men too. Why is it important for our men to take good care of their skin? Men need to take care of their skin too; Our products make it easy to include serums in their everyday routines.
What’s your definition of beauty?
My Definition of beauty is that we age gracefully & organically.
What are your plans for Yummylicious in 2023?
We have big plans for Yummylicious in 2023! I’m currently formulating new products which are incredibly exciting. Our products are now in several spas in California, and we’ll be expanding our reach into more salons, spas, hotels, and homes so everyone can easily order their Yummylicious products as they start on their happy skin journey.
ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YUMMYLICIOUS?
HAPPY SKIN!
(oops, that’s two!)
What led you to finally decide to create YS?
As I was approached time and time again to make products, it became clear to me that as I am making products for my own skin, maybe I should consider helping people not just through facials but a homecare regimen as well. I want people to feel good in their skin.
They should not be suffering because of red dry patches, dry flaky skin, or acne with leftover scars. People are just living with it and suffering from it. It doesn’t have to be that way.
Do your ingredients come from around the world?
Yes, they do. For example, the lavender is from Provence and my rose petals are flown over from Morocco. My rosehip comes from Chile and my Grapeseed Oil is from France and Italy.
